A Southwesterner, my entire life has been spent in New Mexico or Texas. I've worked as a journalist, a university writer and as a caseworker for Child Protective Services.I've known a lot of very different people. A number of them have become good friends. Seldom meet anyone who bores me.

Actually the ice was five -six inches thick and I got out after five days when my dogs finally showed pawprints in the ice!
